On January 30, 2002, a cabinet reshuffle, or new attribution of
ministerial portfolios among members of the Cabinet (also called Executive Council or
Council of Ministers), was announced by spokespeople of the Prime Minister of Quebec,
Mr. Bernard Landry (PQ). At the outcome of this cabinet reshuffle, some ministers in office
lost their portfolio while some MNAs accessed the Cabinet.
The same day, as stated by her ceremonial duty, the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, Mrs. Lise Thibault, swore in the new Cabinet appointed by Prime Minister Landry.
