During the Fall of 2001, three seats in the National Assembly of Quebec became vacant. By virtue of Section 130 of the Loi électorale (Election Act: L.R.Q., c. E-3.3), any vacant seat in the National Assembly of Quebec has to be filled following a by-election held in the constituency represented by the outgoing MNA. The by-election aiming to fill the seats in the Anjou, Saguenay and Viger constituencies have been held on April 15, 2002. Were elected as MNAs Mrs. Lise Thériault (LIB) in Anjou, Mr. François Corriveau (ADQ) in Saguenay and Mrs. Anna Mancuso (LIB) in Viger.
