(1) Results for all political parties are added for the ridings where a vote happened. Results between parentheses include all ridings, taking for granted that all the electors would have voted for the only candidate elected by acclamation if such vote happened. However, the "Valid ballots" and "Rejected ballots" sections include only the ridings where a vote happened. This table was compiled starting from the political identity of each candidate presented on the website of the National Assembly of Quebec.
(2) Due to riots in Kamouraska, there were no elections in this riding during the 1867 general.
(3) The use of secret ballot have been introduced in 1875 in Quebec. Thus, before the 1875 general election, there could not be "rejected ballots".
(4) Ridings of Argenteuil, Brome, Chicoutimi et Saguenay, Deux-Montagnes, Gaspé, L'Assomption, Laval, Lotbinière, Montmagny, Montmorency, Montréal Centre, Montréal Ouest, Pontiac, Québec (Comté de), Québec Est, Québec Ouest, Témiscouata, Terrebonne and Vaudreuil.
