(1) Results for all political parties are added for the ridings where a vote happened. Results between parentheses include all ridings, taking for granted that all the electors would have voted for the only candidate elected by acclamation if such vote happened. However, the "Valid ballots" and "Rejected ballots" sections include only the ridings where a vote happened. This table was compiled starting from the political identity of each candidate presented on the website of the National Assembly of Quebec.

(2) The use of secret ballot have been introduced in 1875 in Quebec. Thus, before the 1875 general election, there could not be "rejected ballots".

(3) Ridings of Beauce, Brome, Chicoutimi et Saguenay, Dorchester, Gaspé, Kamouraska, Laprairie, L'Assomption, Laval, Mégantic, Montcalm, Montmorency,   Montréal Ouest, Napierville, Nicolet, Portneuf, Québec Centre, Québec Est, Québec Ouest, Richmond et Wolfe, St. Hyacinthe, St. Jean, Sherbrooke (Ville de), Stanstead, Témiscouata, Terrebonne and Verchères.
